I discovered the nutritional benefits of cooking tallow as a part of my own personal health journey. Not long after I began cooking with tallow, I learned of its benefit for my skin.

In 2024 I needed a change from corporate work, and having recently become hooked on tallow I took a leap into the skincare business!

I launched Western Montana Tallow Co in November of 2024 with 3 goals: first was to develop a top-quality tallow cream, second to have a more active and engaging occupation, and third to support and strengthen the local regenerative ranchers in and around Missoula.

My process begins with grass-fed and finished suet sourced locally from regenerative ranchers in Western Montana. Then, I render the tallow in small batches to produce pure, simple, and nourishing tallow products.

All of my products are made with grass-fed tallow as the primary ingredient, they have only 100% natural ingredients, and I keep the ingredients lists as minimal as possible. Our most popular product - Unscented Whipped - only has two ingredients!

With premium Montana grass-fed Tallow as the primary ingredient, not much more is needed.
